แนะนำ Wh-question

Wh-question

                 Wh – Question คือ คำที่ใช้แสดงคำถาม ที่ต้องการให้ผู้ตอบ บอกข้อมูล เรื่องราว ที่ผู้ถามต้องการทราบ คำถามประเภทนี้เราเรียกว่า Information Questions ส่วนมากจะขึ้นต้นด้วย “ Wh ”

               Wh – Question เป็นคำที่ใช้ขึ้นต้นประโยคคำถาม และใช้เมื่อต้องการคำตอบที่เป็นข้อมูลหรือข้อเท็จจริง เราจะไม่ตอบด้วย Yes หรือ No

คำที่ใช้แสดงคำถามและความหมาย

Who = ใคร    What  = อะไร   Why  = ทำไม    Where = ที่ไหน  When=เมื่อไร   How = อย่างไร   

Wh – Question หรือคำที่ใช้แสดงคำถาม มีอยู่ทั้งหมด 6 มีวิธีการใช้ดังนี้ ศึกษาวิธีการใช้เลย

Who

1. Who มีความหมายว่า “ใคร” เป็น Pronoun อย่างเดียว ใช้ขึ้นต้นประโยคคำถามเมื่อต้องการทราบว่าใครหรือคนใด ทำหน้าที่เป็นประธาน (subject) เสมอ รูปกริยาของประธานที่เป็น who จะใช้เอกพจน์หรือพหูพจน์ก็ได้ และคำตอบที่ได้มักจะเป็นชื่อคน โดยมีรูปแบบโครงสร้างประโยคต่อไปนี้

What

4. What  มีความหมายว่า “อะไร” ใช้ถามอาชีพ ชื่อบุคคล สัญชาติ สิ่งของ เวลา สิ่งที่ชอบ ที่อยู่ เบอร์โทรศัพท์ วัน วันที่ เดือน โดยมีรูปแบบโครงสร้างประโยคต่อไปนี้

Where

5. Where  มีความหมายว่า “ที่ไหน” เป็น Adverb อย่างเดียว ใช้ถามเมื่อต้องการทราบเกี่ยวกับสถานที่ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นที่อยู่ หรือที่ที่จะไปถึงไปสู่ เวลาตอบจะต้องตอบเป็นชื่อของสถานที่ต่างๆ เช่น ชื่อถนน ชื่อเมือง ชื่อประเทศ ฯลฯ และที่สำคัญจะต้องมีคำบุพบท (preposition) โดยมีรูปแบบโครงสร้างประโยคต่อไปนี้

6. When  มีความหมายว่า “เมื่อไร” เป็นได้ Adverb อย่างเดียว ใช้ถามเมื่อต้องการทราบเกี่ยวกับเวลา แต่ไม่ได้เจาะจงเวลาเหมือนกับการใช้ประโยคคำถาม “What time” เวลาตอบอาจจะตอบเป็นวัน วันที่ เดือน ปี หรืออาจจะเป็นเวลาจากนาฬิกาก็ได้ โดยมีรูปแบบโครงสร้างประโยคต่อไปนี้

Why

7. Why  มีความหมายว่า “ทำไม”  หรือ “เพราะอะไร” ใช้ถามเมื่อต้องการทราบเหตุผล สาเหตุ หรือจุดประสงค์ เวลาตอบต้องใช้คำว่า Because ซึ่งมีความหมายว่า “เพราะว่า”  หรือ “เนื่องจาก”  หรือ in order to, to, so as to, หรือ for ตัวใดตัวหนึ่ง โดยมีรูปแบบโครงสร้างประโยคต่อไปนี้

9. How  มีความหมายว่า อย่างไร เท่าใด แค่ไหน ใช้ถามเพื่อต้องการทราบถึงวิธีการ ลักษณะของบุคคล ถามอายุ ความสูง น้ำหนัก ความยาว ระยะทาง โดยมีรูปแบบโครงสร้างประโยคต่อไปนี้

why ทำไม

โครงสร้างประโยคคำถาม	1. Why + (is/are) + noun/pronoun + adjective ? 2. Why + do/does + subject + verb + object ?

ระยะทาง	A : How far is it from here to Suchai ?	B : It is about 24 km.
